About Your Brooklyn Bestie

You know how they say, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do?”

Well, this blog is just that for NYC, except I’m just a Gen Z girlie trying to navigate the city myself. After nearing three and a half years here, I’ve learned a thing or two, but why stop there?

As your friendly neighborhood Brooklyn Virgo, you know I have your back with the picks I recommend since we’re fussy and meticulous (about the things that matter, okay!). We’re talking burritos, hidden bookshops, and, of course, those hush-hush speakeasies that only locals know about.

I plan to walk, eat, and savor my way through the five boroughs and share what I learn along the way. Just like many before me, and more to come, NYC has captured hearts and wallets; this is just the Gen Z version.

This blog is to encourage visitors and transplants like myself to explore deeply what the city has to offer and go beyond the surface. Though the city is ever-changing, I figure I should be as present as ever while I’m here. By sharing my strolls and stories, maybe we can all become a tight-knit crew of urban explorers.

When I’m not checking out a new Boba spot, riding the lovely B38 bus, or writing about it, you’ll find me binging my anime flavor of the month, crocheting too many granny squares, or avoiding doing my dishes.

See you around!

Xx,

Your Brooklyn Bestie
